I am an artist born in Chukotka, USSR, currently based in Sweden and France. My practice seeks to uncover a visual language for the emotions that dominate our social lives yet often remain hidden and unspoken.

Through my work, I process the complexities of personal and political realities, through the optics of speculative or magical realism. Within my artistic practice I resonate with metamodernism, which embraces both idealistic sincerity and an ironic approach. From a humanist perspective, challenged by the modern world, I focus on registering everyday occurrences, particularly social interactions.

With a background in architecture and classical graphic arts training from St. Petersburg Fine Arts Academy, I relocated from Russia to Sweden in 2022 at the outset of the Russia-Ukraine war. My recent projects explore how the silenced horrors of war form a second, unseen layer in reality, where nightmares and normal life coexist.
