Refugees

The After series (2025) consists of 3 silkscreen prints devoted to the Russian invasion into Ukraine and war in general. I explored the visualization of war trauma and its damage to society. I examined how the silencing and denial of war’s horrors create a second layer of reality, where nightmares and everyday life coexist. Drawing from news feeds, I expressed the collective angst tied to society’s most pressing—and literally burning—issues.
